Cahors vs Argentina : « Coup de Cahors, or the hand of God? »

EN: The highly famous and respected World of Fine Wine magazine just released it's March 2010 edition with 'the best Malbec tasting ever held in London'. The line up included many of the leading names from the twin poles of Malbec production, namely: Achaval Ferrer, Bodega Noemía, Catena Zapata, Trapiche, Yacochuya, Cobos, Alfa Crux and Alta Vista from Argentina and Château du Cèdre, Clos Triguédina, Château de Chambert, Château Lamartine, Clos de Gamot and Domaine La Berangeraie from Cahors. Tim Atkin, MW: "I expected the Argentinean wines to trounce their French rivals in a blind tasting, partly because they are the sort of reds that don’t need tannin-taming food to show at their best. FR: L'édition 'World of Fine Wine' de Mars 2010 (magasine de renommée mondiale dans le milieu professionnel) inclue 'la meilleure dégustation de Malbec jamais réalisée à Londres'. Dans la dégustation se trouvaient de nombreux leaders des deux pôles mondiaux de production de Malbec: Achaval Ferrer, Bodega Noemía, Catena Zapata, Trapiche, Yacochuya, Cobos, Alfa Crux and Alta Vista pour l'Argentine et Château du Cèdre, Clos Triguédina, Château de Chambert, Château Lamartine, Clos de Gamot and Domaine La Berangeraie pour Cahors. Tim Atkin, Master of Wine écrit: 'Je pensais que les vins argentins allaient laminer leur rivaux Français dans une dégustation à l'aveugle car ils ont des tanins naturellement fondus. Mais ça été totalement différent. Les vins argentins occupent deux des tris premières places, mais Cahors occupe quatre places du top dix!'

Chambert: Edinburgh + Dublin

EN: It was two very nice tasting sessions last week. First day was the Scottish tasting in Edinburgh at the Signet Library on Parliament square; it's a beautiful site where tasting was very pleasant and relaxing. The two Chambert 2007 wines were presented, most visitors discovering our wines for the first time. Second day was the Irish tasting in Dublin; in the very city center at Fallon & Byrne on Exchequer street. Here too it was the first Chambert introduction to the market. Despite the overall 2009 stretched economy, both sessions brought hundreds of professionals, eager to taste and sample the wines. Very good tasting sessions, next upcoming tastings will be at the London International Wine Fair in May with Liberty Wines, our importer!

FR: Il y a eu deux dégustations Chambert la semaine passée. La première, à Edimbourg en Ecosse dans la superbe librairie du parlement, un site luxueux et relaxant. Les deux vins de Chambert 2007 étaient présentés à des visiteurs qui découvraient le domaine pour la première fois. La seconde dégustation se passait à Dublin en plein centre ville au Fallon & Byrne sur Exchequer street. Là aussi, les invités découvraient nos vins tout justes présents sur le marché local. Malgré l'économie générale 2009 assez tendue, la participation par centaines de professionnels ces deux dégustations, curieux de tout gouter et choisir leurs vins pour la saison montre le succès du voyage. La prochaine occasion de déguster du Chambert sur l'angleterre se fera à Londres lors du salon LIWF de May. Chambert sera sur le stand de son importateur Liberty Wines!
