EN: The famous Wine Gang MW experts (London - UK) were around recently for tasting Sout-West wines, including Cahors, Madiran, Fronton.Many wines tasted, but as always only very few seats on the podium! Chateau de Chambert - Grand Vin 2008 (will be on sale in few months when its oak digested and perfect to drink in a year) made it and we enjoyed the followinng tasting notes: "
Very dark and dense, but the oak a little dominant. Great juiciness here and suave fruit, cherry brightness but a little oaky on the finish, but deliciously modern though still authentic."
FR: Le fameux comité d'experts du Wine Gang sont venus dans le Sud-Ouest pour déguster les vins de la région dont Cahors, Madiran, Fronton. Il y avait beaucoup de vins présentés mais comme toujours très peu de place pour le podium. Le Chateau deChambert - Grand Vin 2008 fait partie des heureux (rares) élus (il sera à la vente dans quelques mois, une fois son boisé fondu et parfait à consommer dans un an); voici les notes de dégustation: "
Une robe profonde et dense, avec le bois qui domine un peu trop. Très savoureux, un fruité doux, un brillant de cerises, un peu trop boisé en fin de bouche. Savoureusement moderne sans perdre son coté authentique."
